Ketamine Infusion Therapy for Chronic Pain

R and R MD utilizes ketamine infusion therapy to treat the most aggressive cases of chronic pain.

How it Treats

Ketamine is a growing treatment that combats chronic pain for viable candidates. Medical research and physicians have proved ketamine as an effective alternative to common pain medications and treatments. Ketamine infusion therapy eliminates the potential for side effects often produced by pain medication.

Ketamine therapy for chronic pain Ketamine Treatment and Chronic Pain

Ketamine is used to treat a multitude of chronic pain syndromes, most commonly those possessing a neuropathic component. Ketamine attaches itself to receptors in the brain and disrupts pain signaling. Low-dose ketamine infusion therapy treatments produce analgesia* in neuropathic pain states and contain powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Unlike some other painkillers, ketamine is not known to suppress cardiovascular or respiratory functions.

Current studies show short-term infusions can produce potent analgesia during the treatment itself, while prolonged infusion treatment plans have shown long-term improvements up to 3 months post-treatment. Researchers believe ketamine rewires the brain and forms healthier neural pathways.

Types of Chronic Pain We Treat

We treat several types of chronic pain including Neuropathic Pain, Fibromyalgia and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).

Neuropathic Pain

Neuropathic Pain is a type of chronic pain that results from damage to the nervous system. It’s caused by a variety of factors, including injury, disease or dysfunction of the nervous system. Unlike other types of pain caused by tissue damage or inflammation, neuropathic pain is caused by changes in the nerves themselves.

Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a medical condition causing widespread pain and tenderness throughout the body, as well as fatigue, sleep disturbances and cognitive difficulties. Fibromyalgia is considered a chronic disorder that affects how the brain processes pain signals, leading to heightened sensitivity to stimuli that would not normally cause pain in other individuals.

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), is a chronic pain condition typically affecting one limb, usually after an injury or trauma. The pain is often disproportionate to the initial injury and spreads to other areas of the body over time. CRPS is believed to be caused by a dysfunction in the nervous system, specifically the sympathetic nervous system, leading to an exaggerated pain response to stimuli.

Real Feelings. Real Reviews.

"I am so grateful for Reset Restore M.D. The compassionate help I received from Dr. Grieve and staff helped me feel comfortable with my infusion series. The clinics' calm, serene, spa-like rooms set the stage for healing. I would encourage those suffering from chronic pain to consider ketamine infusions through Reset Restore M.D. I have had CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) for 4 years in my dominant hand, a result of an elective surgery. It has been a painful time not only physically but emotionally as well, for me and my family. My last infusion (6 total) with Reset Restore M.D. was a month ago. I have had good results. My pain scale by the 4th infusion was significantly reduced from a 6-8 to a 2."
